I came on board for Season 2 to upgrade the look of the eyewitness and expert interviews. Eyewitness interviews had been shot on iPhone kits for season 1, and we upgraded them to Sony mirrorless camera kits for shallow depth of field and more dynamic range.
Expert Interviews were shot by local crews using 2-3 cameras which were fed into zoom via capture card where I directed setups.
REMOTE DP RESPONSIBILITIES
Upgrade self shooting kits for eyewitnesses - switched from iPhone to Mirrorless cameras
Direct setup of mirrorless cameras via zoom
Work with production to source crew for multi-cam remote shoots across the US and international locations
Work with production to choose locations
Prep local DP's prior to the shoot and finalized equipment needs
Direct crew via zoom with camera feed to finalize shoots maintain standardization and quality
